Liza Foley is an abstract artist from Massachusetts who draws inspiration from the natural hues of the sky and the sea. Her vision of the world is shaped by many years of eye strain and brain fog, caused by an undetected astigmatism and misdiagnosed prescriptions. Through her art, she finds a way to relax her eyes and clear her mind.
Many people find her paintings soothing, especially when they need a moment of tranquility. Her artwork invites them to a visual space where they can escape from the noise and stress of the world. Liza draws her inspiration from the New England coastline, especially the light and water in Gloucester.
Liza holds a BFA in Painting and an MA in Art Education from Boston University. She has studied with renowned artists such as Richard Raiselis and Caleb Stone. She is a member of the SoWa Artists Guild, a community of over 80 artists in Boston’s South End. Her artwork is exhibited and collected worldwide.
